Radhey Hari Govt. P.G. College Kashipur, founded in 1973, features a well-established Botany department offering both under graduate (B.Sc.) and Post graduate (M.Sc.) programmes. The department is following Semester system – NEP 2020 at the UG level and CBCS pattern at PG level as per guidelines of UGC and Kumaun University, Nainital. The department is equipped with well-maintained laboratory and departmental herbarium to support research scholars as well as students. At Post Graduate level, the department offers Dissertation work and specializations in Plant Pathology & Taxonomy of Angiosperms for students. The curriculum includes class room sessions using multimedia, academic activities, laboratory sessions, seminars, group discussions, project work, ppt presentations, field studies and the use of various virtual platforms. The department is supported with experienced and highly qualified teaching faculties who have received recognition at national and international levels. There are five sanctioned posts of teaching faculty and four posts for non-teaching staff with an intake capacity of 240 students at UG level and 36 students (including 03 seats for EWS category) at the PG level. The department regularly organizes expert lectures from for career counselling, plantation drives, seminars, Quizzes, poster presentations, speech, debates, Extempore, Models making activities for overall academic and personality development of the students.
