The Department of Yoga at R.H. Government Post Graduate College, Kashipur, has been actively functioning since 01 July 2006, following the introduction of vocational courses such as the Diploma in Yoga and Holistic Health. Over the years, the department has expanded its academic offerings, integrating Yoga at the graduation level to provide students with foundational knowledge of yogic science, holistic wellness, and applied practices. Further strengthening its academic stature, Kumaun University granted continued affiliation for the M.A. Yoga programme for the 2019–20 session. With structured programmes at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, the department plays a key role in promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being while preparing students for careers in teaching, wellness, fitness, and holistic health sectors.
